Born in Hanover, West Germany, in 1954, Buchholz played a pivotal role in shaping the band's sound and success. His journey began alongside guitarist Uli Jon Roth in the hard rock band Dawn Road, and together they joined Scorpions after the departure of Michael Schenker to UFO.
